Divine Relationships

We strive to attain balance in our lives, relationships, career, family and more.  We do this by making sure that we have balance within ourselves.  When both the feminine and masculine principle (the male and female above) within us is balanced, the feminine being nurtured, nurturing and creative and the masculine in action, we live a balanced inner and outer existence and it reaches out into our environment and affects those around us.  We are able to support ourselves first and then others and accomplish our goals and be a magnet for our intentions.

We must first learn to clear all of our four lower centres and come into alignment with unconditional love and move this to the level of the vibration of the Crown Centre. We then experience more and longer periods of unconditional love and connection to our “Higher Source”.  We feel more at peace and trusting with our self and others in our life, we experience “Divine” connection to others.  The couple above represents the Male and Female principles, the feminine nurturing and creating the active force of the masculine.  They are unafraid and unashamed to stand backs to each other naked facing the world together supporting each other, watching out for each other and working as one force together ready to face whatever comes before them.

Meaning of this card:  If this card appears in a reading concerning a relationship, this union would be the ideal relationship, a couple working together and combining their efforts towards a common goal.  If the situation is personal then its means that you are finding within yourself how to bring into balance the feminine and masculine principles.  In financial and material matters, the situation has and/or requires the balance of both the male and female influence to bring together the perfect outcome.

Sacred Ceremony

Ceremony and ritual are an important part of everyday life.  We have rituals that we perform every day such as shaving, showering, reading the paper with our coffee, or watching the news before or after dinner and lighting a candle to send someone love, healing and protection and so on.  A ceremony is explained in the dictionary as a ritual for formal occasion.  I see a ceremony as a time to celebrate life, living, the environment, the seasons, spiritual growth, births, deaths, unions, separations and so much more.  Pictured above is a traditional First Nations Sweat Lodge made of bent tree branches, blankets and cedar (Earth).  Outside of the lodge is a blanket with a sacred pipe, sweet grass and a feather, (Air) the tools of ceremony.  Next to the blanket is the sacred fire where the stones for the sweat will be heated and next to all of this is a running stream. Above the stream and on the right is a symbol representing the four seasons, and the four directions. Air, Earth, Fire and Water, are all the elements necessary for a sacred ceremony.  You can perform your own type of sacred ceremony anywhere or anytime using these four elements and your intention.  You can do something as simple as lighting a candle with intention, taking a bath and burning some incense and call it a ceremony.  The act and the intention are what make it what it is.  I suggest that when you perform a ceremony take note of the feeling that you will experience during and afterwards but always make sure that you are using your intention to celebrate something meaningful in your life. Learn to celebrate after you have been through a crisis and have come to a clearer understanding of yourself on your journey.  Ceremony is a form of celebration and honoring where you are on your journey and using it can make your life more fulfilling.   It is also a way of instilling the feeling of self gratitude within ourselves.

Meaning of this card:  In a reading this card signifies that it is time for you to find a way to honor yourself and where you are at in your life or on your journey.  It could also mean a wedding, funeral, or some type of celebration is in the works.  Find your sacred space within or without and spend some quality time there in appreciation of you.

To Ear or Not To Ear

We see above an ear surrounded by the tools of the world of modern technology.  This is the normal every day environment that many of us exist in. We may try to be discerning about how much we take in or what we choose to believe because we receive so much information from so many sources.  Unfortunately, the stigma of peer pressure and how society presses upon us to function within it becomes a strong reason why we may and may not do things out of the ordinary in our lives. As we become older, more mature and begin to more seriously pursue our spiritual journey we realize that we once again desire to have the key to that door, to the innocence of that reality.  What we have learned over our lifetimes greatly influences who we have become.  Everything we have heard seen, read, sensed or been exposed to either consciously or unconsciously will affect us and the decisions that we make in our lives.  We must create a filter and be particular as to what we choose to listen to and watch and participate in and be protective of ourselves.  It is wise to debrief yourself after intense contact or communication and decide that which is true and meaningful to you.

Unfortunately what we have learned may be destructive to who we are truly trying to become.  Our attachment to modern technology, the vision of others and the values of society may leave us feeling guilty when we have that desire to “drop out” and get real or just decide that we want to be comfortable with who we are in the world without all the rules and information thrown at us.  We may think that we are too fat, too skinny, too tall, and too short, you know this story I’m sure. To move past this story we must work hard on letting go of our need to fit into a certain mode in order to please others and truly believe that it is time to change the story.  We also have to make a commitment to let go of most of what we have heard and believe to be real and begin again from a place within us where our Divine Truth lies.

Meaning of this card: If this card appears in a reading it is a warning that you may be listening to things that are not healthy for you or maybe someone is giving you the wrong information.  You are sensitive to the input in your environment; take the steps to protect yourself.  You also may be too attached to the world of technology, the media, other people’s opinions or your own inner criticism and it is becoming harmful to your well being.   Do not trust in everything that you see or are told or even believe to be real.  Remove yourself from the situation and re-evaluate.  If this concerns a financial or material matter, be careful of who and what you are listening to.  Find a trusted advisor to consult with (someone other than who is involved at the moment) as everything is not how it appears and what you hear is not the complete truth.  If this is about communication do not believe all the correspondence that you have and are receiving.  Most of all watch your thoughts, they are confused right now, clear you mental state before you go any further.  Your sense of reality may be falling apart right now, just trust your deep inner feelings and surrender to your Truth.
