The “last days” of looking for truth and finding her “soul” were realized when at sixty years old Mary moved to Alaska and experienced day and night without daylight. Facing this continuous lack of sunshine led to the understanding that it had nothing to do with physical light or darkness. She says, “that might sound naive but so many times in my life I endured till daybreak when I knew it would chase away the menacing spirits”.
