Have you ever had someone do something that made you absolutely happy? Not for you but unaware? They go about their daily routine yet step in a role supporting a concern,  viewpoint or a problem you're having.

Do I sound crazy? Probably but let me elaborate. I was given the opportunity to get a promotion. You're thinking I'm one lucky dog, aren't you? I didn't want it . I'd been doing the job for several years and actually wanted to do something else. I also considered it unfair that I'd have to take a test for a job I'd been performing all this time.

My boss didn't want to take no for an answer. I'm a good employee. So I did what a smart person would do. I placed the decision on someone else. Another woman was offered the second matching job via the test. I said I'd go take the test if she did. She declined leaving me to back out too.

Another person who did something that made me very happy. O.k., I'll admit I consider myself a grasshopper. Sitting around chewing on a piece of grass while waiting for winter isn't so bad. I've learned to adapt.
