Activist Supreme Court - La Cueva

For years conservatives have complained about "activist" Supreme Courts when they were liberal, especially the Warren Court. Recently Republican Senators grilled current nominee Elena Kagan about being a clerk for Thurgood Marshall and whether she subscribed to his judicial theories. But what about the current court? Yesterday on KPFK's "The Insiders" with Maria Armoodian a couple of lawyers discussed how this court is just as activist as the Warren one only on the side of corporations, especially in light of the Citizens United decision that allows them to spend unlimited amounts of money on elections...


 


Came across a piece showing the dictators the US government has been friendly with over the years. It's pretty extensive, with some 40 names on it. Many came from Latinamerica; Noriega, Somoza. Maybe in a future film Oliver Stone can go into how our government befriends such types, then demonizes them later on.
