Challenging Corporate Power - La Cueva

ACORN no longer exists because of a hoax. It was the target of this hoax because it challenged corporate power. One of ACORN's functions was to register voters in low income and minority communities, which go overwhelmingly for Democrats. This alone put it in the crosshairs of the Becks, Limbaughs and their ilk. The group also helped people in these communities file class action lawsuits against financial institutions, such as banks (Wells-Fargo) that redlined.

Now Elizabeth Warren is catching heat, as I noted in yesterday's post. Why? Because she has a record as a consumer advocate, not a poodle for the financial industry or Corporate America in general.
