As a softball coach at Paradise Valley High School, in Phoenix, Arizona, Coach Moore attempts to motivate his student athletes, in the particular sports that they play, by the unique use of story telling. The stories written are presented to the players before the season begins as a 'hope' that their interest level will rise.
Knowing that the mental approach that student athletes have towards the game today is drastically different from the past, Moore believes that we, as mentors, need to offer as many varied strategies as possible to allow student athletes the opportunity to appreciate the games that we play.
Wanting to share "a strategy", David is offering his stories, via the net. As a possible tool for motivating the young, a chance to relive common experiences in other's lives, the possibility of thinking about the true meaning of living, and reading for the simple enjoyment that it brings, David Moore once again thanks you for surfing in to Moore's Sports Shorts.
