The Girl In The Vanity

Prologue

An old vanity on the back wall showed a young girls face in the reflection. No older than sixteen. Big blue eyes, pale skin, and wild blonde hair. If you saw her from afar you would think she was a pretty young girl, but if you got closer you would see her hideous bruises and cuts. You would see the homely look in her eyes, and the lack of color in her cheeks.

Every time Allie glimpsed at the girl in the vanity, she knew it wasn’t her. She was a young beauty that was full of energy and life. You would look in her eyes and see the need for adventure and excitement. But that real Allie barely existed anymore. The girl in the vanity was becoming who she was.
